After completing her B.Com, Thapar obtained her B.Com. Then from Savitribai Phule University, followed by MBA from Fuqua School of Business and Chartered Accountant certification from ICAI. After graduating from college, Thapar worked for Guidant Corporation in the USA for six years before taking up the position of Chief Financial Officer in the pharmaceutical business Emcure. He worked in various positions in the company for a few years and then resigned from there. She then joined her father’s company Emcure Pharmaceuticals as CFO.
Namita founded Incredible Ventures Limited, an education company, in 2017. The objective of the company was to promote youth entrepreneurship by teaching entrepreneurial skills to children in the age group of 11-18 years. The company has branches in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Ahmedabad. She is a member of the Regional Advisory Board of the School of Business and is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization.
